NOBLESVILLE, Ind.—Police are investigating the deaths of three people found inside a Noblesville home Christmas day.

Authorities initially responded to the home near the 11000 block of East 191st Street on a report of a shooting. When authorities arrived, they found three deceased individuals inside the home, said Sheriff Mark Bowen.

According to Bowen, the deceased included an elderly couple and their adult son. The couple's daughter found the bodies and called police around 4:30 p.m., said Bowen. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office identified the deceased Tuesday as Donald Moon Sr., 84; Joyce Moon, 81; and Todd Moon.

“She’s very shaken up like anybody would be when something like this happens to your family on a holiday or anytime,” Bowen said. “It’s tragic anytime something like this happens, but certainly on Christmas it hits home.”

Neighbors reported hearing gunshots Monday afternoon.

Authorities have not disclosed how the victims died. Bowen said they have not ruled out the possibility of a murder-suicide.

The coroner's office said autopsies on the victims will be completed by Wednesday.
