IMPD: 21-year-old arrested following fatal shooting on east side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police made an arrest after a man was murdered on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.

IMPD officers responded to 8015 Shibler Drive on May 26 shortly after 3:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival they located an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. He died a short time later.

Homicide detectives arrived a short time later and took over the investigation. After further investigation, police arrested 21-year-old Jerrontae Bell.

Bell faces charges of murder and possession of marijuana.
