INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Dr. Russell Mittermeier is this year's winner of the Indianapolis Prize. It's the world's leading award for animal conservation.

He's protected hundreds of species and millions of acres of critical habitat.

We talked to Dr. Mittermeier, as well as Indianapolis Zoo CEO Michael Crowther about the prestigious achievement.
