RICHMOND, Ind. – Richmond police say the search for two men wanted by U.S. Marshals is over.

Crews spent several days looking for Charles and Alan Estep who were wanted in connection with a child molestation case out of Hamilton County.

The men were last spotted near the Middlefork Reservoir Friday afternoon.

At about 6:20 a.m. Saturday, police say a male subject matching the description of one of the fugitives was spotted in the area of a Meijer in the 2500 block of Chester Blvd.

When officers responded they say they spotted Charles enter a tree line on the east side of the store. Officers from multiple agencies set up an immediate perimeter and a SWAT team was activated and responded to the scene.

Charles was taken into custody at about 7:43 a.m. and transported to the Wayne County Jail on his outstanding warrants.

Police say they found Alan at about 8:31 a.m. in a wooded area behind the Meijer, dead from an apparent suicide.
