IMPD looking for red 2008-2010 Charger following deadly hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis police are searching for a vehicle that struck and killed a motorcyclist on the city’s east side.

It happened near the intersection of 34th Street and Shadeland Avenue Thursday, Aug. 23.

Police say the victim, identified Friday as 52-year-old Gregory Woods, was traveling northbound on Shadeland when a red Dodge Charger traveling southbound made a left turn and struck him.

According to IMPD, the Charger continued eastbound on 34th Street. The suspect vehicle will have damage on its front passenger side.

In November, detectives said the red Charger should have a model year between 2008-2010 and are hopefully someone comes forward with a tip.
