Danville home heavily damaged in early morning fire

DANVILLE, Ind. – A fire heavily damaged a Danville home Friday morning.

Crews were dispatched around 4 a.m. to the 1600 block of Purpura Drive.

There they found a vacant home with the roof fully engulfed. A nearby home sustained damage to one side .

Fire officials also reported that the nearby home had two people inside sleeping but all were able to make it out safely.

The vacant home sustained significant damage as the investigation into the early morning fire is ongoing.
