CASS COUNTY, Ind. – Two men were killed in a possible hit-and-run in Cass County.

They were found dead in the road Tuesday night around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 35 north of Cass County Road 800 South.

Police say the men were identified as Zachary Wines, 26, of Walton, and Bryan Curry, 52, of Valparaiso.

Preliminary evidence indicates the men were struck by a northbound vehicle.

Investigators are having a hard time trying to determine why the men were in the roadway. Their cars were found parked on the east side of U.S. 35 with the engines still running. There is no damage to the cars.

Neither of the men had wounds that would indicate a shooting or a stabbing.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help with this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Indiana State Police Peru Post at 1-765-473-6666.

This is an ongoing investigation. Autopsies will be conducted on Wines and Curry.
