Man shot during possible home invasion just blocks from University of Indianapolis campus

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man was shot during a possible home invasion just blocks from the University of Indianapolis campus.

The shooting happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of S. Walcott Street.

Police said the victim was shot in his left leg. He’s reported to be in good condition.

Witnesses inside the home said a white man wearing black clothing and a mask, and a heavy-set black man in all dark clothing entered the home and robbed them at gunpoint.
