Heavy fog, patchy freezing drizzle (mainly north of downtown), showers south and various patches of ice...not a great start out-the-door! At least our temperatures are creeping above 32° in most locations, so roads should continue to improve through mid-morning and definitely by the afternoon. Bottom-line: extra time needed out-the-door will help you tremendously for the morning rush!
Areas of rain will start to fall through the afternoon and evening, as temperatures reach the upper 30's. No threat of icy conditions tonight, as temperatures stay above freezing through Tuesday morning. With rain falling, saturated ground and melting snow will create additional high water issues, hence the new Flood Watch!
Rain will continue tonight and through Tuesday with a 1/2" to 1" possible in spots. Windy conditions will develop too with gusts up to 40mph. Eventually rain will change to snow showers with little to no accumulation expected by Tuesday night.
Cooler on Wednesday but remaining active with more ups and downs until the weekend!
