Shooting leaves one dead on the city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A person has been shot and killed on the city’s northwest side tonight. The shooting occurred at Lakeside Crossing at Eagle Creek Apartments

Police responded to a person shot call at 8:04 p.m. on the 3900 block of Wind Drift Drive East. When officers arrived, they found an adult male lying in the roadway and suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS personnel pronounced the man dead on-scene.

The suspected shooter, also an adult male, called 911. He is in custody and cooperating with police. IMPD is still calling this an active investigation. Anyone with information should call homicide at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
