Detectives investigate body found along I-65

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indiana State Police are investigating a body found along the side of the roadway on I-65 northbound.

The body was found Sunday just before 4 p.m. along the shoulder of the interstate near mile marker 116, close to 30th Street. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police passed the case on to ISP because the body was on the interstate.

ISP has identified the body as 36-year-old Jason Lane of Indianapolis. The coroner will determine the cause of death after an autopsy.

The investigation is ongoing. We will update the story with more information as it becomes available.
