CARMEL, Ind. — It was a wet start and finish for thousands of runners this morning in Carmel.
A little rain didn’t stop them from participating in the 9th annual Carmel Marathon.
The event features a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon.
Runners we spoke to say it was far from ideal running conditions but not as bad as they thought it would be.
“I was expecting it to be pretty terrible because it was pouring down this morning,” said Ashley James of Indianapolis. “But it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” she added.
It’s the state’s second largest marathon.
A big congratulations to all who participated.
