ISP police car involved in accident in along I-65 in Greenwood

GREENWOOD, Ind. – An Indiana State trooper who stopped to help with an accident investigation suddenly found himself involved with his own crash Tuesday morning along I-65 in the Greenwood area.

According to the trooper, he stopped in the left lane of southbound I-65 just before Worthville Road to assist with an accident that occurred in the northbound lanes at about 6:15 a.m.
The trooper reported that he had just exited his vehicle when another vehicle came up from behind and struck his cruiser.

Police reported no one was injured from either incident.

Traffic through the area was slowed for about two hours during the cleanup and investigation.
