Shooting on Indy’s east side leaves teen in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a teenager is in critical condition after being shot on the city's east side.

Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, police say they were called to the 6000 block of East 30th street for a person shot.

The victim is said to be a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the torso. The boy was rushed to the hospital.

IMPD says he was shot in the lobby area of an apartment complex.

Police do not believe this was a random act.

This is a developing story.
