Motorcyclist dies after accident in Brownsburg

BROWNSBURG, Ind. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Brownsburg on Tuesday.

Fire crews and EMS workers responded to the scene at the intersection of Northfield Drive and North Green Street shortly after 7 p.m.

When first responders arrived, they found several bystanders performing CPR on the unconscious man. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene, at least in part due to traumatic injuries sustained in the crash. Police identified him as 23-year-old Jonathan Loveland of Brownsburg.

Fire officials say the driver of the SUV that collided with the motorcycle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators with the Brownsburg Police Department.

The incident created tremendous traffic backups for nearly two hours at the heavily traveled intersection, which was closed in all directions as crews investigated.
