Woman killed in hit-and-run crash on Indy’s southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A 62-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the southeast side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the call of a pedestrian struck near the intersection of South Arlington Avenue and South Brookville Road.

Officers arrived on scene to find the victim lying in the road.

Police say they are looking for a black 2002-2009 GMC Envoy with tinted windows. It was last seen travelling northbound on Arlington Avenue from Brookville Road. The actual suspect vehicle is pictured below:
