INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --  IndyGo's Red Line rapid transit system opened Sunday to big crowds and excited, curious passengers.

The electric buses were standing-room-only throughout the morning and early afternoon from Broad Ripple south to downtown Indy.

Many passengers took a ride just to check it out, while others are exploring the idea of using the Red Line to commute to work.
