Charlene Cristobal

Charlene Cristobal joined the FOX59/CBS4 team as a morning reporter in October 2018. She comes to us from the sunny state of Florida. While the weather is a bit cooler than she’s used to, she’s excited to be in the Hoosier state!

Before coming to Indianapolis, Charlene was an anchor and reporter in Tallahassee, Florida, for four years. She’s won several AP Awards for her work. Most notably for her coverage of the FSU Strozier Library shooting and special reporting of the solar eclipse.

Charlene’s dad proudly served in the U.S. Navy for more than 25 years. So, she’s traveled and lived all over the world. She spent most of her childhood overseas in Sasebo, Japan. When her family came back to the States, they decided Jacksonville, Florida, was a good place to retire.

Charlene decided to move about three hours away to go to college. She is a graduate of Florida State University.

When she’s not working, her favorite things to do are eat, read, travel, eat and spend as much time with her dog Willis. Did we mention eat?

She is a storyteller at heart, so if you have any story ideas, food recommendations or anything at all, she’d love to hear from you!
