  • Motorcyclist dies in south side crash

    INDIANAPOLIS–A motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in a crash Sunday afternoon on the city’s south side. Shortly after 4 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at Bluff Road and W. Epler Avenue.   • Arrest made in Bartholomew County shooting

    BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. –The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police have made an arrest in a shooting early Sunday afternoon in Jonesville, Indiana. Authorities were called to the 300 block of Jackson Street.  When they arrived, they found a 49 year-old man suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.     Body found near White River in Anderson

    ANDERSON,IND — Anderson Police are investigating the discovery of a body in White River on the city’s west side. Around 6 p.m. Saturday someone discovered the body of an adult male near the banks of White River . Police described the scene as near the Derby Downs Park just east of North Madison Avenue. It is not known if foul-play may have been involved.  The Madison County Coroner will determine the cause of death.

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Firefighters from five area fire departments battled a two-alarm fire at the Island Club Apartments Sunday night.     INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Miss Benton County Halle Shoults was crowned the 61st Indiana State Fair Queen at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Sunday.
