  • Second Franklin teen dies after Friday’s swimming accident

    FRANKLIN, Ind. (June 9, 2014)– The Marion County Coroner’s office confirms Michael Chadbourne  has now died due to Friday’s swimming accident in the Big Blue River. Sarah McLevish and Michael Chadbourne were pulled from the Big Blue River in Edinburgh Friday after swimming with three other friends. Chadbourne succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.  DNR investigators said McLevish got swept away in the water near the dam and another friend, 17-year-old Jason Moran, went in to help her.   • Two found shot, one dead in alley on city’s north side

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 9, 2014) – Two people were found shot and one person is dead after an incident on the city’s north side Monday night. IMPD responded to the 3000 block of Winthrop Ave  around 10:36 p.m. on a report of a person lying in the alley. Upon arrival, officers found two unidentified males suffering from gunshot wounds.   • 1-70 WB back open in Hancock Co.

    Hancock Co. – (May 31, 2014)  All lanes of I-70 are back open after a serious crash in Hancock County near the 102.4 mile marker.     INDIANAPOLIS (May 31, 2014)- Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will join Director of Public Safety Troy Riggs and IMPD Chief Rick Hite to swear in 58 new police recruits on Monday. The current 9th recruit class is made up of 47 men and 11 women.  Twelve percent of the recruits are hispanic, 28 percent are black and 60 percent are white.     (Picture courtesy WBIR) Sevierville, TN (April 12. 2014) – A  5-year-old Indianapolis boy is missing and an Indianapolis man was killed after a fatal fire at a three-story cabin in Sevierville, Tenn. Saturday.     Indianapolis – 7 people are sent to the hospital after authorities say a car speeding at 90 mph crashes and then bounces through the intersection of 21st and Post Road.
