Teens in custody, 1 suspect at large after early morning armed robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (October 16, 2015) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police took three suspects into custody, including two teens, after an armed robbery and police chase on the city’s northwest side early Friday morning.

Officers responded to a call about an armed robbery in the 3500 block of North Rybolt around 2 a.m. Friday.

Police tell us they found a vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, near the intersection of 71st St. and N Michigan Rd. When officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle took off and a short chase ensued. Police say the car had been reported stolen in a carjacking on Tuesday.

The suspects arrested include Robert Christian, 19, and two 15-year-olds. All three face preliminary charges of armed robbery. Police say one suspect is still on the loose, and is believed to be another young man.
