INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal stabbing late Tuesday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m. IMPD officers responded to a person stabbed in the 7100 block of Warrior Trail. Officers found Eric Bonds, 30, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers noticed a large amount of blood throughout the home and signs of a physical altercation. Bond’s roommate Gregory Smith, 44, was inside the home. Officers detained Smith until homicide detectives arrived.

Detectives believe the two men had an argument inside of the home, which led to the stabbing. Smith was arrested in connection with Bond’s death, and he was preliminarily charged with one count of murder.

The investigation is ongoing, but police urge anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
