(September 9, 2015)- Many female athletes focus on their training but what about their nutrition? Watching carb intake and partaking in fad diets is a common cycle for young girls, and it's a concern for many parents.
IU Health dietitian Anna King discusses some of the foods female athletes should be eating to help fuel their bodies. Two of the most important things girls are lacking are calcium and vitamin D. King recommends dairy products such as milk and chocolate milk to help keep your bones strong.
