Carmel girls swimming sets national record with 30th straight state title

Carmel High School's girls swimming team celebrated their 30th straight state title at IUPUI's Natatorium, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016. The team scored 438 points and won nine of 11 events.  Hamilton Southeastern was the second-place team and finished with 193.5 points.  With the win, Carmel beat their own tied record with Honolulu's Punahou High School's boys' swim team, which won 29 state titles from 1958 to 1986.  With the 30th title, Carmel became the best high school sports program in the nation.
