INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (December 15, 2015)–Tuesday is the last day to sign up for healthcare coverage to begin on January 1. Americans who do not get insurance through their work place must sign up through or face a fine.

Starting in 2016, the penalty for not having health insurance will increase. The rate for 2015 was $695, or 2.5 percent of your income. On January 1, that penalty will increase more than $300.

There is good news for Hoosiers. Officials say Indiana residents will see the biggest decline in rates from last year, up to 13 percent decrease.

If you are need help signing up for healthcare marketplace there is an event at Christ Church Apostolic (6601 N. Grandview Drive) from noon to 9 p.m.
