IMPD needs help funding mounted patrol

INDIANAPOLIS– IMPD’s mounted patrol has been around for nearly forty years, working at the Indy 500, colts games and patrolling downtown to keep everyone safe.
But the unit isn’t fully funded by the city’s budget. That’s why the mounted horse patrol is hosting an annual fundraiser called “polo at sunset.” Chris Golightly is the the executive director of the IMPD horse patrol. He gives us a look at the changes this year due to the pandemic.
