When it comes to dinner with a view, seafood with sweeping vista of Eagle Creek Reservoir can’t be beat!
We asked you what Indy’s Best Outdoor Dining Experience is, and the people have answered! It’s Rick’s Café Boatyard on Indy’s northwest side.
Sherman visited Rick’s to get a look at the menu and learn more about the dining experience that so many FOX59 viewers voted for.
Operations manager Jonathan Osborn said Rick’s deck offers a northern view of the reservoir and has the capacity to hold 500 people.
For many diners, the draw is the fresh seafood, but that’s not all Rick’s Café has to offer. Executive chef Craig Lewis showed off some other dishes like Cordon Bleu fingers and ribeye.
“Just the fact [that we’re] in Indiana, to be able to hang out somewhere on a body of water and enjoy the good weather with friends is ultimately what makes this place so special,” said Osborn.
Rick’s Cafe Boatyard also gets involved in charity, presenting its annual golf outing on September 13 for St. Mary’s Child Center.
For those with a sweet tooth, Osborn recommends the key lime pie.
“I don’t know if you’re gonna find a better key lime pie unless you go to Florida yourself.”
