Staying connected with older Americans during COVID-19 outbreak

Indianapolis, Ind — Social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak does not have to mean socially disconnecting. Even before socially distancing, one in four older adults reports being affected by social isolation.

FOX59 spoke with President of the AARP Foundation, Lisa Marsh Ryerson about the risks of social isolation, how it’s affecting older adults and how people and other community groups can help out.
