Teaching critical thinking skills in the nation’s schools

INDIANAPOLIS — It can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between fact and fiction, especially online. Being able to fairly and effectively evaluate information is crucial to fighting disinformation, improving political discussions and developing solid civil engagement. This can take a lot of critical thinking.

FOX59 spoke with a Dr. Ben Motz, a research scientist in the Department of Psychology and Brain Sciences at Indiana University, about this importance, plus how to effectively teach critical thinking in our nation’s schools.
