INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a shooting left a person dead on the city’s east side Thursday evening.

The IMPD responded to the 3500 block of North Graham Avenue just after 7:45 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a man in a vehicle parked in front of the home. The man had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide detectives were canvassing the area Thursday night looking for witnesses. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
