$10,000 reward offered after armed bank robbery in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. (Jan. 28, 2016) – A bank in Richmond is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who robbed a bank Wednesday.

The robbery happened around 10:40 a.m. at the U.S. Bank located at 2909 E. Main St. in Richmond.

Richmond police released three images of the suspect taken from surveillance video. The man wore dark sweatpants, a zip-up hooded sweatshirt and a hooded coat with writing on the front. A white cloth covered his face, and he wore a dark hat and dark gloves.

The man was armed with a silver handgun when he entered the bank. After the robbery, nearby Charles Elementary School activated its “Classroom Secure” plan as police searched for the suspect.
