INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Hamilton County crews are busy this morning repairing a giant sinkhole in Carmel.
It is at the intersection of E. 96th St. and College Ave.
Authorities say that the sinkhole opened up Thursday night after a water pipe ruptured. It is approximately 12 feet by 18 feet and 5 feet deep.
Drivers trying to get between Westfield Boulevard and College Ave along Real Street/96th will still be able to from the Westfield Boulevard.
As of Friday morning, they were still making repairs. There is no word at this time on when the street will reopen.
