GREENWOOD, Ind. — Panic ensued at the Greenwood Park Mall on Saturday afternoon after a gun was accidentally discharged.

Greenwood Police said a man was handling his gun in front of Pac Sun, one of the stores inside, and it had accidentally fired. The gun owner was injured, and nobody else was hurt.

It’s believed the injuries weren’t serious, but the incident frightened other shoppers in the mall. Some stores went on lockdown as a precaution.

The case remains under investigation.
