NEW CASTLE, Ind.  {June 24, 2015} – Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. , the Indiana State police received a report of a semi on its side on off ramp from west bound I -70 to SR3,  at the New Castle Exit. Troopers Scott Keegan and Sergeant Todd Wallace arrived to find a semi on its driver’s side on the north side berm of the ramp.

The driver, Kenneth Moore, age 40 of Warren, Michigan, was sent to the Henry County Hospital with minor injuries.  The 2001 Freightliner Moore was driving was pulling a box trailer loaded with insulation. The preliminary investigation is that Moore’s truck entered the curve of the ramp too fast, and the truck flipped onto its side after it drove off of the ramp and over the emergency strip onto the soft shoulder.

Moore was cited for Speeding Too Fast to Avoid Collision.
