“Alabama Story” comes to Center for Performing Arts in Carmel

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A determined Hoosier librarian and a segregationist senator face off over an innocent children’s book in 1959 in Montgomery, Alabama and that story inspired Kenneth Jones of the New York City Playwright and Don Farrell, founder and artistic directors for the Actors Theatre of Indiana to put this into play form and bring it to the stage where it being presented at the Carmel Center for Performing Arts.

Fox 59’s Zach Myers caught up with the two on the Fox 59 Weekend morning news to ask how this went from a story of almost 60 years ago to a play for today.
