CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities in Florida issued an Amber Alert after police say a non-custodial mother kidnapped her children Saturday.

According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Stacey Williams took her 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son from their guardian’s home Saturday.

Williams doesn’t have custody of the children. She struggled against the guardian before taking the toddlers and leaving. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

When the children were last seen, the three-year-old was wearing a pink dress with no shoes and the one-year-old was wearing an orange shirt and a diaper.

Investigators said Williams may be traveling with her husband, Ryan Williams, who is also the children’s father. Police said the two have a “volatile” relationship and a history of drug use.

The couple may be in a white 2004 Ford Expedition with license plate DNS-C62. Investigators said they were possibly headed to West Virginia or Ohio.

Anyone with information should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-ANY-TIPS.
