ANDERSON, Ind.- For the third time in 18 months, Gunslingers gun store in Anderson has been hit by thieves. In the most recent incident, two men broke into the store around 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to Anderson police, they made off with about $2,000 worth of goods, including ammunition, a scope and three muzzle-loader rifles.
“It hurts, I mean tremendously,” said store manager Ron Hinton, “because we are a growing business and it just puts us in a bad spot when it happens to us.”
Despite enhancing security following the last two break-ins, the suspects smashed into the store through a reinforced window on the building’s backside.
The store’s owner and management is asking anyone with information to come forward.
“If you’re in a position to make a difference, I urge you to make a difference,” said Hinton. “Stand up.”
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Anderson Police Department at (765) 648-6700.
