(Sept. 2, 2014) – A Chinese rooftop worker almost fell 80-feet to his death when an angry child cut the safety ropes of his harness.

According to “Your Story”, the worker was using a drill to mount security lights on the side of the apartment building.

A 10-year-old boy became angry that the drilling outside was interrupting his cartoons.

So he grabbed a knife, went to the window and slashed the worker’s harness, leaving him hanging onto a single rope.

The worker yelled at the boy to stop, but the boy did not listen.

Colleagues spent 40 minutes trying to rescue the man before they were finally able to pull him to safety through a window.

“Your Story” reports that the boy’s family bought the worker a new rope, and they are considering anger management for the child.
