The Children’s Museum celebrated a very special Sunday morning: the very first sapling from the tree outside Anne Frank’s house was planted.

Saplings of the famous chestnut tree will be planted across the world, and Indianapolis was picked as the first U.S. location.

The original tree outside of Anne Frank’s house served as her only connection to the outside world for years. It was blown down during a storm in 2010.
