FISHERS, Ind. – Authorities in Fishers are investigating after the bodies of two longtime Hamilton Southeastern teachers were found, the district confirmed Wednesday night.
Police were dispatched to Dorster St. near 131st and Olio Rd. after someone said they heard gunshots. When they arrived, they found the bodies of a man and woman.
“Based on the information we’ve gathered so far, we do not believe that there is anybody else involved in this incident,” Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger said.
Neighbors say the deaths come as a shock to the usually quiet neighborhood.
“There’s kids walking, biking, just playing outside. It’s a very friendly place and this is just… wow,” Michael Jensen said.
Hamilton Southeastern school district said they are longtime staff members and Hoosier Road Elementary and Fall Creek Intermediate schools are canceled Thursday for grief counseling. All other schools will operate as normal.
At this time, the names of the victims have not been released.
