Ball State gives all clear following alert

MUNCIE – Ball State University says the campus is secure and has given the all clear for campus activities to return to normal after a report that a man with a gun was sighted near the library.

The university sent an alert Monday around 8:15 a.m. after someone said they saw a man with a gun in the area of Bracken Library. Students were told to find a safe area and stay there while police investigated the claim.

The university said police searched the campus and said university ground are secure. The school has since returned to normal activities.
