MUNCIE, Ind. – A Ball State University student filmed and produced amazing drone video that shows the beauty of the season’s first snow.

Nevin Markitan is a sophomore Telecommunications major, minoring in digital media and screenwriting.

He bought his first drone last spring, and he’s filmed a few things since then, including this video that shows fall foliage throughout the state.

He was inspired to create another drone video this week after realizing how beautiful everything looked covered in snow. “The night before I shot (December 12th) I saw a decent amount of snow had accumulated. I knew at that moment that I was going to do another drone video,” Markitan told FOX59.

His camera is held together by rubber bands after he accidentally flew it into the Ball State library last year, but it still works great.

He spent about two hours filming on the Ball State campus and other areas around Muncie, and it took him another four hours to edit the footage.
