Bicyclist hit by car on city’s east side near Monon Trail

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 11, 2015)–  A bicyclist riding along the Monon Trail was struck at 30th Street by a car just before 7 p.m. Monday night.

Police confirmed that the bicyclist had been traveling along the Monon Trail when the car came up on the rider, hit him and then swerved away before striking another car.

The bicyclist suffered unknown injuries, but according to police, none of those are believed to be life threatening.

Both drivers of the cars were treated at the scene and released as the accident remains under investigation.
