INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 27, 2015) — Holiday sales have expanded from Thanksgiving into Cyber Monday, but Black Friday is still one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
Lines formed at Castleton Square Mall before some stores opened at 6 a.m., while other stores just stayed open all night.
Representatives from the National Retail Federation say this year, retailers are hoping holiday sales go up 3.7% — that would add-up to more than $630 billion dollars spent this season.
Some shoppers say they brave the crowds just for fun.
“We’ve been doing this for 12 years, we're family,” said shopper Brunetta Stanley.
“We just get good deals and have a good time!” Stanley said.
“Bath and Body Works was great, we went to Finish Line… it was fun, just had a good time!" said shopper Cristal Howe.
Today also marks the start of extended holiday shopping hours for some stores in our area.
