BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man died Friday morning after a crash involving three vehicles.

Cecil Cain, 67, was going west on the State Road 45/46 Bypass around 10:40 a.m. when he pulled in front of a Ford F-250 pickup truck at the intersection with North Kinser Pike. The truck, which was pulling a trailer, hit the passenger side of Cain’s 2003 Buick LeSabre. Billy Shane Reynolds, 41, Mount Zion, Ga., was driving the other vehicle.

The impact pushed both vehicles into a Ford Explorer stopped at the intersection. Nicole Laughlin, 29, Bloomington, was driving the Explorer.

Cain was pronounced dead at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. The preliminary cause of death is blunt force trauma.

The other drivers were unhurt.
