BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Sept. 20, 2014) — A mother of two, murdered, and left in a corn field. Now, almost four years to the day when she was found, her mother is desperate for justice.

Crystal Grubb was found in a corn field near Showers Rd. and S.R. 37 on October 1, 2010. Police have received tips, but none of the them have been the one to get Grubb’s killer off the street.

Grubb, 29, was hanging out near a creek with friends as she would normally do. Her family says she got mad and disappeared, never to be seen again until 13 days later when a farmer discovered her body in that Monroe County field.

“It’s frustrating to me because they have not made no arrests, and these guys are out here living free. There was three guys with her,” said Janice Grubb, Crystal’s mother.

No one has been charged in her death. Crystal was a mother of two young girls, Abby, who is now 10 and Rosie, who is now 6.

“We need the justice done for our daughter, and them girls need justice for their mom,” she said.

About a week after Crystal disappeared, FOX59 introduced you to her family. The family was pleading then.

“We got a murderer running loose here in Bloomington, and everybody’s gotta keep watch and keep an eye on their kids because the police don’t know who it is or don’t know what to do,” a family member said during a 2010 interview.

Now, Crystal’s mother is pleading again.

“We want people coming forward that knows anything. I wish somebody would come forward, you know, to help us out with this case,” Grubb said.

Tips can be phoned in to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. On Oct. 1, Crystal’s mother is holding a prayer walk to remember her daughter and raise awareness about Lauren Spierer, the Indiana University student who disappeared in 2011. It’ll be held at People’s Park in Bloomington, starting at 6 p.m.
