BMW Championships to resume at 8 a.m. Friday after rain delay; parking updates announced

CARMEL, Ind.– The gates at Cooked Stick Golf Club will open for the 2016 BMW Championship at 7 a.m. Friday after some weather issues caused delays Thursday.

First round play is expected to resume at 8 a.m., with second round play scheduled for 10 a.m.

The volunteer parking location for Friday has been changed as a result of the weather.

  • Volunteer parking (V Lot) will be moved to College Park Church off Towne Road and 96th St. (2606 W. 96th St.). Shuttles will start at 5 a.m.
  • General spectator parking will remain at the former Indianapolis Airport terminal building near I-465 and Sam Jones Expressway (2500 S. High School Road). Shuttles will start at 6:30 a.m.
  • BMW Owners parking will remain at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (100 W. 86th St.) with shuttles starting at 6:30 a.m.
  • Hospitality parking (H Lot) will remain at Cox Hall Gardens (2000 W. 116th St.) with shuttles starting at 6:30 a.m.

Patrons who arrive via Uber, taxi, limo or other alternative forms of transportation will be directed to 10910 Greenbrier Road, Carmel. All patrons utilizing alternative transportation options will have a short walk to the main entrance.
