INDIANAPOLIS (May 21, 2014) – Indianapolis police are investigating a death after finding a body in a creek on the southwest side of Indianapolis Wednesday.
Rescue crews with the police and fire departments were dispatched to the 800 block of Tip Street in reference to a water rescue around 2:06 p.m.
When crews arrived to Little Eagle Creek, witnesses who were swimming in the area reported they found a body in an area of the creek called “The Levy.”
The victim was identified as an adult white male. He was located approximately 15 feet from the shore and partially submerged in the water. Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma.
The victim’s identity and the length of time he was in the creek are unknown at this time.
