INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — IMPD officers say a body found inside a dumpster at a south side apartment complex Sunday morning is now being investigated as a criminal homicide.
This marks the city’s 157th homicide this year, which matches last year’s overall record.
Officers with the southeast district were called to the scene in the 300 block of Teddy Lane just after 10 a.m. on the report of a deceased person located in a dumpster. That scene is located at Country Club Apartments on the south side.
On Wednesday, the Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as a 27-year-old woman named Khuan Par. Her cause and manner of death are pending.
