INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 23, 2014)– An Indianapolis boy home alone stumbled upon two men with a gun as they were robbing his house Monday.
It happened near Moller and 34th Street on the city’s northwest side.
With his mother’s permission, 13-year-old Alexis Estrada told FOX59 how he came face to face with the thieves.
“I was laying down right here,” said Estrada as he lay on his bed in his room. He was on his phone, when he heard a strange noise from his mother’s room across the hall.
“I looked over there. I had come out. And they opened the door and they pointed the gun at me.”
Standing over him were two men with a gun. Estrada was frozen in fear.
“I was really scared,” he said. ‘They pointed me with the gun and told me to stay in my room while the other guy was robbing the house,” he said.
The thieves stole his mother’s TV, his Xbox, and a tablet. They even tore through his sisters’ presents under the tree.
“I think they were looking for electronics,” said Estrada.
He thinks they broke in through his mother’s bedroom window and left out the backdoor. He didn’t see much, because he was forced to sit in his bedroom the entire time.
”I just thought I was gonna die or they were gonna shoot me cause they pointed the gun at me. I just didn’t know what to do,” he said.
There’s not a very detailed description of the suspects. Estrada’s mom told FOX59 she planned on getting an alarm system immediately.
If you have any information that can help police find the suspects, call police.
